google buys earth

I have often wondered how a company like google can keep 5680 full time employees, (number subject to change) busy every day. I know that they might not always be "busy" with their new segways, or their rubric cube, but do they really need 5680 employees? Are they actually developing new ideas, or just buying out companies that have already done the work? Well, according to yahoo news, Google needs more space to house their growing population. They are on their way to owning the earth, a goal that they set out on with their release of "google earth." Google will be spending $319 Million to expand their footprint by neerly a BILLION square feet. For reference, they just bought Nevada... (I did not do any computations, and some of my "facts" might be based on nothing.) I would imagine the hallways in this building will need to be wide enough for four lanes of traffic so the workers on one side of the building can get to a meeting on the other side within 3 hours...
Be sure to check out Google employees hard at work!
