Music Genome project

Last night while I was losing my fantasy football match up and being sure the Bears just blew their streak, one of our friends showed us pandora.com. This site is based on the music genome project which I had heard a little bit about previously, but never used. The site is awesome, you put in an artist name or song name, and it plays music you like. It adapts to your likes and dislikes, and introduces you to a lot of good music that you will probably like! Anyway, I dig it. Be sure to check it out. It is free (ad supported) or $36 a year for an ad free version.
If you have not figured it out yet I did lose in fantasy football this week, but I did have a pretty good week. Unfortunately Pete had a better week. Who would have guessed that his defense and special teams would win the game? Oh, and nice work looking like idiots for 3 quarters Bears, it made that last quarter more exciting. On the topic of crazy football, Congratulations to Larry Johnson, my MVP for tackling Troy Polamalu by the hair. I think Polamalu is awesome, but that was friggin hilarious. I am upset that he got unsportsman like conduct though, as there is a rule specifically stating that you can tackle by any part of the body, including hair. Click the image for a poor quality video.

  • I enjoy pandora as well. If you'd like I'll share my most listened to station with you, granted you'll probably hate it because it doesn't contain ACDC or Beasty Boys :) Also LastFM is another site, but it's more user (social network) based. You chose a song/artist and you receive music based on the other people that like artist. Less about music style, more about being a sheep and just liking what other people already like. You'd probably enjoy it.

  • Just reading your blog tonight for the first time. I found it very funny. Don't worry my team is the suckiest so you can always know you're not the worst! At least the Bears win even when they suck. Had never heard of pandora before but will check it out!
