nationaldarts.com is awful

One of the things that drew me to having a blog is that when I was displeased with something I could make the information available for anyone interested, and a few people that might not be interested. I am currently still having such an experience with nationaldarts.com, formerly khgear.com. I ordered several items from the site a little over a month and a half ago now. After 3 weeks I did finally receive a package that contained about half of my order, along with a packing slip that had stamps next to some of the items in my order saying they would ship later, as well as check marks by things that were packed with this shipment. I noticed that an order of 100 tips was not in current shipment, and had no markings near it. I tried to contact them to make sure this was included in the next shipment. Over the next two weeks I left 2 phone messages on their machine that reported that they were having technical difficulties with the phones, at minimum 4 emails, some to each of the addresses I found as the contact, and tried to contact them with the "contact us" form on the website. I finally heard back with a "We shipped it all to you, but some of it came back, we will resend it, we are working on our customer service issues" message. A few days later I get a small package with a couple of the items missing from the original order, (still not the entire order) and a 94 cent set of shafts for my inconvenience. Now, in all of those e-mails and phone messages I specifically asked about that order of tips, I still have heard nothing about them, and still have not seen them. I have tried twice since receiving that package to get in contact with someone there to get this figured out, but they are once again ignoring my messages. I wanted to make a post, just in case anyone is thinking of ordering from them and happen to see this first, I would highly recommend going to another site for your needs.

  • First, your RSS feeds are borked...
Second, I tracked down your very nice review of KHgear, you should post one for national darts as well ( http://www.resellerratings.com/store/KHGear)
Third, If you think they are going to give you the run around send the stuff back and tell your credit card company you never received your items, and you want to do a charge back. Retailer hate that, as I believe they have to PAY extra when they receive charge backs, and if they get too many then their ability to accept credit cards will get yanked. Granted 1 charge back probably wont make a bit of difference, but I bet they start to move a little faster if you threaten. I've done it in the past and magically my package shipped within the next couple days....

  • Thanks Matt for letting me know I screwed up my feed. I added some tags to a few old posts, and it brought those to the top of the feed because they were the most recently modified. I kind of fixed it, but only back about 2 months. Some of them are still out of order.
I might resort to a charge back. for the little money that part of the order makes upp It would not make much of a difference for me, but if it hurts them, it might be worth it. Seriously, if they let me know what the hold up was I would not be mad at all. Horrible PR.

  • I'm having a similar problem with National Darts. No support. No working phone number. No information on what is happening with the order. I've been waiting close to a month now. They completed half the order but left no information on what is happening with the rest of the order. I've sent numerous emails and received no response. To make matters worse I purchased these for our team and have been hounded daily on where our stuff is. I feel totally ripped off.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at March 22, 2007 12:08 PM

  • You know I'm having the same problem. I wish I would have read this post before I ordered. nationaldarts.com should be shut down. They were very quick to charge my credit card but I haven't heard a thing about my order. I can’t believe they are allowed to run a business this way. I'm thinking about contacting my credit card company and having the charge contested.

By Anonymous Marty, at April 12, 2007 8:34 AM

  • Well... at least I know it's not just me having problems with nationaldarts.com. Company half shipped my order, charged full amount, promising to fill order.... everything that is listed with posts here. Rather than send stuff back at your cost, hold back payment for outstanding items plus a portion of the shipping cost which was paid. Once credit card company does this, cancel the remaining items. One last step, is to enter blogs for nationaldarts.com and khgear.com so the business is shutdown. Both run by Kyle Hove.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at April 16, 2007 11:19 AM

  • Same problem. I have left vmail and sent a half dozen emails.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at April 20, 2007 12:41 PM

  • Me too. I have sent email to authorize.net to find out if they are a valid company or have I been had.

Authorize.net is credit card authing company.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at April 20, 2007 12:43 PM

  • I contacted Kyle and they have been dealing with family medical probelms.
make a support ticket and they will contact you.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at April 22, 2007 2:23 AM

  • Funny, I did create a support ticket, so he sent me the wrong parts and gave me a completely different excuse. I have heard from a large number of people having the same issues, I feel bad for him if his family is having a hard time now, but that is no excuse to run a business the way he is. By the way, I am still waiting for 100 short dart tips.

By Blogger Rodd, at April 22, 2007 10:23 PM

  • somewhat happy to say that I finally did receive the rest of my order. only 3 and a half months. Please continue to use this thread to voice your concerns and frustrations with nationaldarts.com, khgear.com and Kyle Hove. I now have my order, but I am far from satisfied. Thanks for your comments and good luck with your orders!

By Blogger Rodd, at April 26, 2007 3:38 PM

  • I really wish I would have found this blog before I ordered. It's been three weeks and I have gotten no respose to my numerous emails to the company, an email to his hotmail account, phone calls, and even one fax. I feel bad if he truly IS dealing with some medical issues, but ONE email explaining this would have been nice. A charge back is a great idea. I'm all for it.

By Blogger ardsheal, at May 15, 2007 1:21 PM

  • Its been 3 weeks since I placed an order and have yet to recieve anything. I called my credit card co. and placed a hold on payment to National darts. If the items do come I will now send them back. They were quick to bill me like others have said. I have gotten no responce from e-mail or been able to connect with them by phone, which rings once and then nothing.Something is wrong with this co. and I don't wish to be part of it.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at June 06, 2007 9:30 AM

  • Well, I finally did hear from Kyle after opening several tickets to cancel my order, and after endless emails. Eventually, my order moved to a canceled status. After that, I had to open MORE tickets requesting a refund, which I eventually got. I only got one email from him saying that I had been issued a refund. That was it. No explanations, no apologies. I will NEVER order from that company, or any other company run by Kyle Hove. Go screw, Kyle Hove, Go screw.

By Blogger ardsheal, at June 12, 2007 7:11 AM

  • Also screwed - thanks for the heads up

By Anonymous Anonymous, at June 28, 2007 3:23 PM

  • Worst online purchase experience I've ever had. I placed my order four weeks ago and still nothing. After many call attempt, numerous emails, 10 plus support tickets I've received NOTHING! Whatever you do, don't order from either of Kyle's sites...Nationaldarts.com or khgear.com They should be shut down!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at July 17, 2007 6:28 PM

  • I also unfortunately found your page too late and the BBB with their 37 some complaint cases against national darts.com. I am a US Marine currently stationed in Iraq. All we really have to do in the hour or two of free time that we have per day is throw darts or play cards. I have left 15 messages on numbers that actually work, 13 support tickets and 72 emails, plus one BBB complaint over the past month and have received no response or darts, but as everyone said, HE took my well earned pay very quickly... Someone needs to kick the s*** out of this guy and then shut his site down and then sue the s*** out of him so he will never be able to have a business again for false advertising (1-7 days to ship, my ass) and then throw his ass in jail for stealing since that is essentially what he is doing.

By Blogger matthew, at July 18, 2007 8:12 PM

  • Another customer screwed right here. It has been well over a month since I placed an order with National Darts/KHGear and I am still waiting for items to be shipped. The first shipment took 3 weeks and numerous emails and "support" tickets before it was filled.

I have no reason to believe Kyle will ever ship these items out so I am disputing the charges with PayPal. I wish I had just used a credit card as the process is significantly faster.

No communication at all! I've even tracked down Kyles personal phone number - voice mail messages are not allowed. Surprise, surprise.

The main reason I ordered from this site was the shipping costs. All of the other online darts companies I found wanted to charge outrageous shipping fees. A small box with assorted flights, tips, shafts etc adding up to $130 should not cost $30 for ground shipping.

    Anyone have any recommendations?

DO NOT order from NationalDarts.com or KHGear.com unless you are a complete masochist.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at August 24, 2007 8:58 AM

  • I now order through Mueller. http://www.poolndarts.com/
They have been great, and very reasonable. I can't believe that National Darts and KHGEAR are still in business.

By Blogger Rodd, at August 24, 2007 9:19 AM

  • I ordered $50 worth of replacement parts for a Dynamo foosball table in May. 3 months later and nothing. Countless emails and phone calls and not one response. I guess it's the BBB or the Attorney General next.

I wish I found this site sooner.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at August 26, 2007 8:48 PM

  • to add to all:

i too wished i found this before i ordered. $55 dollars of stuff ordered and only half came. now trying to get a refund.

i ordered the missing from edarts.com and had the stuff within a day and a half, and actually had a live body to talk to.
great site to go to for dart stuff. now back to the misery of getting a refund.

By Anonymous Slashalot, at September 17, 2007 1:15 PM

  • i mistyped the dart store site it should be edarts.net and not .com

it was such an easy shopping expirence that i had to correct my oops

By Anonymous slashalot, at September 17, 2007 1:22 PM

  • Amen it is!!! I have yet to receive my items that I've PAID for already. Through multiple attempts to contact, via support tickets, calls, emails, and faxes.
These guys are bogus!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THESE A**HOLES!!!

By Anonymous Shayfus, at September 17, 2007 1:41 PM

  • I placed an order on 21 Aug, and was billed on the same day, but am still waiting on the stuff to ship. 2 emails, a dead phone number for service.

there is one option... Call the credit card company and dispute the charge. Discover Card will reverse the charge.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at September 17, 2007 6:33 PM

  • Holy crap. my wife and i have been talking about these same issues we are having with this company for the past 4 weeks. I just discovered this site like 10 minutes ago. what a joke!!! This Kyle guy sounds like a complete scam artist. he probably figures we will eventually give up because we are not talking about an extreme amount of money. Therefore i bet at least 50% of the bogus orders are just money in his pocket. the other 50% are all of us contacting our banks. WE SHOULD ALL BE WORKING TOGETHER ON THIS.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at October 04, 2007 10:57 PM

  • Well here I am joining all the rest of the people that have the same complaint! It's been since Aug 31st with no order processed but my money was taken as soon as I hit the complete the check out button. $146 he has taken from me and now everyone on my dart team wants their money back from me. I've sent support tickets, emails to three different areas of Kyle's and still NO response! What can be done? I paid through PayPal. It sounds like he has just STOLEN our money and left.

By Blogger Barry, at October 09, 2007 2:39 PM

  • Well, I just finished leaving a comment here and went to PayPal and file a claim. Returned to NationalDarts.com to file another support ticket and they have CANCELLED my order!!!!
Help me nail this guy to the wall!!!

By Blogger Barry, at October 09, 2007 3:49 PM

  • i reported him to the better business bureau and he immediatly cacelled my order and refunded my money. Everyone should report him and get your money back. when you report him mention this blog in your report (thats what i did) ever since i reported him he has been very apologetic and responsive. he doesnt want to be reported and risk being shut down. we need to shut him down and its the only way i can think of that we have a chance.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at October 09, 2007 8:47 PM

  • I cancelled my order and went with the guy here who said to try edarts.net and it was amazing. I ordered the same cabinet i had tried to get through national darts and the owner of edarts called me within 5 mins of my order. He was calling to confirm the type of shipping i wanted to use. he was soooooooo nice and very responsive. he gave me pricing options for shipping and we agreed on the best one for me. I recieved the cabinet in just a few days. INCREDIBLE DIFFERENCE. i strongly urge everyone having issues to use WWW.EDARTS.COM the owners name is Kim and he is a great guy and it was wonderfull service.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at October 17, 2007 8:48 PM

  • CORRECTION**** That is WWW.EDARTS.NET

By Anonymous Anonymous, at October 17, 2007 8:49 PM

  • Similar issues here. Ordered several months ago and no response after emailing him / customer service. I'm considering a charge back and BBB contact if I don't hear from him soon.

By Anonymous Gman, at November 18, 2007 8:28 AM

  • After speaking with an agent at the BBB I have found out that the owner Kyle Hove has multiple BBB problems. He no longer responds to the BBB. There is nothing they can do about it but file it as no responce (lame if you ask me). He is a complete mess and anyone who reads this please take this advice.... DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. ORDER FROM EDARTS.NET. IF YOU HAVE ALREADY ORDERED FROM HIM THEN GET YOUR MONEY BACK ASAP!!!!!!!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at November 25, 2007 3:28 PM

  • oh man, I am so screwed. I ordered about 95 bucks worth of stuff from him - same issues no replies or anything....

If anyone knows how to get a hold of this guy, please let us know.

I have left messages and sent emails with no response. I have now contacted our bank to file a complaint with VISA and I have filed a complaint with the OR Attorney General office.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at January 14, 2008 1:33 PM

By Anonymous Anonymous, at January 15, 2008 3:22 AM

  • I can't believe I'm reading this. National Darts did the same thing to me only difference is they took my order, charged my card and never sent the items. Interestly they charged my card on the same day, usually they charge it when it's shipped. When I received my statement I knew something was funny with the charge date being the same as the order date which by the way was on New Years day and over $100. I really don't believe that they were working on New Years Day so why charge my card before processing the order?? Called my credit card company and they charged it back. I've sent numerous emails and phone calls with absolutely no response. This has been the worst experience I ever had on the net. National Darts is horrible and should be shut down!

    By Blogger fac55, at January 15, 2008 7:53 PM

  • I'm having the same problem getting the rest of the dart tips I was charged for . Order shipped 12/16/07 Tips to ship out seperate. No email responce no phone contact

and i went into my local dart store and was talking to the owner and he said that is were he orders his stock from i guess the are a wholesaler to other companies also

  • To whom this man concern, I am writing this because of our customer service failure the past few months. I have made steps to help improve this by creating a ticket system that you can access on our front page along with modifications to our payment system.

My promise to you is that if you initiate a support ticket with national Darts, I will respond within 48 hours latest. We love the game of darts and want to support and not hinder.

If you have any concerns, please initiate a support ticket and I will get back to you asap. Thank you

By Anonymous Kyle from National Darts, at January 23, 2008 11:38 AM

  • Nice to hear you actually still exist Kyle. To those who may read his comment and say, oh wow, Nationaldarts.com is fixed, you may want to reconsider. I ordered about one year ago, and had major problems then, so it has not just been over the "past few months" as Kyle said. Also, when I was going through the complaint process is when Kyle implemented the ticket system. This was no more successful. You will also note many of the people who have commented have also had these same problems. I seriously consider him a thief, and no matter what changes on the site, I do not think he deserves trust, and would highly recommend another source for your supplies. Kyle, I am glad you found that you have a following. I was wondering how long it would take you to google your name or business. :)

By Blogger Rodd, at January 23, 2008 11:48 AM

  • Well as Kyle said he has a ticket system now. And Rodd says it is NOT successful. And Rodd is correct. The ticket system is a joke. To me it's almost like somebody didn't have anything to do and wanted to play around and enhance the look of the website or something because it was worthless to me in the last 30 days. During which I sent at least 7 emails and phone calls to a number without a dial tone. Anyway, how many websites to you see with a ticket system? I do a lot of e-commerce and can say I never seen this on any of the sites I'm on. Has anybody ever noticed that?? Did you have that many issues that you needed a ticket system???? It's really funny to me!! No, the only reason I got a response from him on 'the ticket system' was because I said I would write to the state and I got a response back in, guess what? less than 24 hrs. What ever issues he has whether personal or otherwise it is no excuse. Even if it got fixed I would stay away and you should, as Rodd said, reconsider. I should add, when he did respond he refunded my money. But that's not what I wanted. I wanted my merchandise and I don't believe I would have got it back had I not left the last message on his 'ticket system'.

  • First of all, I would like to apologize to anyone who bought Laserdarts from National Darts. We started having phone calls and e-mails complaining about their service, long range shipping problems, and how customers couldn't get ahold of them. As a result of the constant complaints and us unable to get ahold of them ourselves to rectify problems, we have decided not to sell to them at all. This includes not only our Laserdart line, but also the parent company, Horizon Darts, which markets the best of a lot of other dart product and companies. We are sorry that any of you went through grief to get a Laserdart product from National Darts.com or KHGear. Don't get us wrong, Kyle seems like an OK guy and may have been having problems, but we expect our customers to get great service. We are the manufacturer of Laserdarts and ALWAYS have them in stock. We have a lot of great Laserdart distributors out there. For all future Laserdart products, please call us at 1-800-542-3278 or e-mail us at darts@horizondarts.com to find out the Laserdart supplier in your area. Our apologies for any inconveniences.

  • May 2007 I ordered $55 worth of stuff and have yet to receive it. I tried to be nice by calling the various numbers on the website. I contacted the BBB and they had no luck. Now it's the Attorney General's turn. Hopefully they shut this thief down!

By Anonymous John, at February 03, 2008 4:24 PM

  • Here are two posts I left on our league website, www.saltcitydarts.com - I figured that I wasn't the only one...

Just wondering if anyone has ever placed an order with nationaldarts.com? I placed a $100+ order with them on 3/5/07. To date I have not rec'd my order. Keep in mind that they accepted my payment on 3/5/07...I have left several messages with them, by telephone, email and online support ticket. I have had ONE response, telling me my order was out of stock, would be in in 5 days, and they would credit me back 10%. That was almost three weeks ago, to date, no order, no credit and no further response. Anyway, just looking for anyone who has made a purchase from them, and I guess warning the rest of you.

    AND

I found nationaldarts.com on a Google search. Their website is professionally done, and they seem to have a lot to offer. They partner with PayPal, who I have always had good luck with.

Now for the update...As I previously stated, they never shipped my order, nor did they ever contact me about my product being backordered, until I hounded them for over a week and a half. Then they told me my product would arrive in 5 days in their warehouse and be shipped out to me same day. Again, two weeks passed with no news. Again I persisted but to no avail. I finally placed a dispute on paypal, through who I made payment. In response to my dispute nationaldarts.com CANCELED MY ORDER, again without notifying me. After canceling my order, they responded to my dispute, telling me they could not get my product from the warehouse, and asking if I wanted to cancel my order or select another product, keep in mind they had already canceled my order. It had also been about five weeks since I placed the order...I agreed to the cancellation(as if I had a choice) and requested a refund, and was told it would appear in my account 3 days after the cancellation, SEVEN days after the cancellation I asked where my refund was, and a few hours later I received it, with a message that they had processed it and couldn't see why I didn't get it in three days like they had promised. All in all a terrible experience. I definately would not ever recommend this company if you are in the market for darts or supplies.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at June 08, 2008 8:34 PM

  • Now is this the Kyle Hove the bassist who is a teenager of Kyle Hove the Oregon State Trooper?

I just got screwed by Nationaldart.com and am in the process of filing with the BBB, Oregon General Attorney, Internet Crime Complaint Center and my credit card company.

Someone should call the Oregon State Troopers and see if this is the scam artist or if his name is being used.

Some of Nationaldarts.com phone numbers register as a New York number..hum

By Anonymous Anonymous, at August 07, 2008 1:37 PM

  • Add one more to the list... nice to know I'm not the only one. At least I only got shorted about $35 in darts, but darts are kind of a necessary part when you order a board and all the fixins. It's been 2 weeks since my first "support" desk ticket, I've sent at least 4 by now with multiple comments added. I did finally get a "out of stock" email asking if I wanted to wait or get my money back. If anyone ever reads their Support Desk tickets, they should have already known what I wanted to do. I did file a compleaint with the BBB. And will be following up with my credit card company. Anything else I can do to get this guy off the net?

By Anonymous Anonymous, at August 10, 2008 9:05 PM

  • Where on earth was this blog when I needed it? Probably buried halfway down the google page. The truth is I've actually been ordering from National Darts for a few years now, and only recently have I been getting the same kind of run-around everyone else has mentioned. I placed an order over a month ago, have left several support tickets, and have heard nothing. AND I MEAN NOTHING! Not one piece of my order has arrived. No contact on whether or not it will arrive soon. No response to my e-mails or support tickets. Just a blip on the website that says "Order Processing." How long does it take to process an order consisting of $100 worth of flights, shafts and tips? Went to check yesterday... THE WHOLE SITE HAD DISAPPEARED. It was back this afternoon, but still nothing. At least I now don't feel alone in this struggle. Contacted the Oregon State Attorney general via e-mail. Left an directions to this blog. Maybe now at least my complaints wil be heard. Not remedied, but heard. Thanks Rodd and everyone.

  • I can't believe this guy is still in business. I wish I would have read this before I placed an order for $140 worth of darts. I was shorted about $90 worth of my order, and have not had any response. It has only been 3 days, but I have already called my credit card company to have the charge reversed. I am also reoprting to: http://www.doj.state.or.us/finfraud/concompform.shtml

Next time I will be more careful before I order. Thanks for the recommendations of other companies.

  • I never baught anything from this guy but he did pull me over and give me a ticket. Too bad he isnt as sloppy at his day job as he is at trying to run a company!!! My ticket would never have shown up!

  • ditto here. I received 2 spinning shafts instead of three in the pack. 5 messages to them would produce the same "you've been assigned a ticket" and the BBB couldn't get any thing from them either. It took me emailing them asking "you thieves going to fill my order correctly?" they answered that day and send the 3-pack of shafts, but overall it was a 5 month ordeal. This was in the summer of 2008 so it looks like they've been at this gimmick for awhile.

  • I am having the exact same problem with National Darts also, most of my items were not what I ordered, and I ordered a dart board too that I have not recieved.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at November 08, 2008 2:16 PM

  • Same situation here, it has been 3 weeks multiple e-mails, calls to several different companies he runs, support tickets on nationaldarts.com & no response from Kyle. This is the 3rd (& final) time i've ordered from this site. the first time (january 08)it only took 2 days to ship the order complete but the 2nd time (mar 08) was about 2 weeks.
I have contacted discover & let them know i think he is ripping me off & they are going to take action to collect the funds. i'm also going to follow others advice & contact the BBB & DOJ.
Bottom line is if you want the products you ordered headache free, go elsewhere cause nationaldarts.com has zero customer service & no sense of urgency to fill their customers orders.

  • Kyle Hove, KHGear, and National Darts are simply a fraud. I would not do any business with them. I suggest reporting them to every customer protection agency, credit card company, blog, etc. that you can find.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at December 04, 2008 12:00 AM

  • I just fell victim to this scammer myself. Placed and order a month ago, credit card was charged at the time of order and I never received anything. No response to submitting support tickets, etc. Called the phone number that my credit card company gave me for them (541-963-3660) and it just keeps ringing. I just filed a report with the BBB and FTC on this guy. Next time I’ll do more research on buying from a company that I never dealt with.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at December 08, 2008 4:05 PM

  • I have also recently fallen victim to the poor business practices of this company. I placed an order on Oct. 19th and was charged the full amount on Oct. 21st. I have been sending emails, faxes, vmails, and posting my dissatisfaction to their incredible trouble ticket system for the last month just trying to get a status as to my order. I find it amazing that a company like this can exist given the incredible negativity that I have found reference their practices. I only wish I would have found-out sooner and placed my order with another online retailer. I have now notified my credit card company, who will be initiating a charge-back and investigating this as a fraud on my account. I have also filed a complaint with the BBB and await feedback as to their success. I would encourage everyone who has ever ordered and had issues with this company to make your dissatisfaction known and report them to the BBB, FTC, etc. These types of business practices should not stand and we, as the consumers, are in-control.

  • Seems like everyone has the same story, but my story ends a little differently.
Ordered $123.00 of different products on 11/26/08, and afterward found out about all the BS that goes on with National Darts.
Below is an email I sent directly to Kyle Hove (Owner of National Darts) on 12/11/08. MY ORDER SHIPPED COMPLETE ON 12/15/08!! Hope this strategy can help someone else.

    Regarding Order #xxxxxxxxxx (Order Processing)
Order Date: Wednesday 26 November, 2008

I have requested information concerning my order twice and have had no response.
After much investigation I have found that this is a common pattern when dealing with National Darts.
I just want to let you know that I want you to cancel my order and reverse the charges on my credit card - and I don't mean in two or three weeks - I mean now.
It is really a shame that you have done this to your company. You have a gold mine and you don't know how to operate it.
I have read the many many comments on different forums regarding your lack of support and in general, you do not fill orders and give the run around regularly.
I also see a post in the forums from the CEO of Laser Darts as follows:

First of all, I would like to apologize to anyone who bought Laserdarts from National Darts. We started having phone calls and e-mails complaining about their service, long range shipping problems, and how customers couldn't get a hold of them. As a result of the constant complaints and us unable to get a hold of them ourselves to rectify problems, we have decided not to sell to them at all.

I just want you to know that I have filed a complaint with the Oregon Attorney General's Office. And if I do not have a favorable response back within a couple of days regarding the refund to my credit card account I am going to contact the Credit Card company and request a charge back due to no product being shipped.

The ball is in your court.

  • Oh god, I am so screwed. I wish I would have found this before I ordered. I ordered a dart board for $169. My card got charged right away which was a red flag. The standard for Internet retailers (I work for www.fathead.com) is they charge when the item ships (except for special order). I've sent numerous e-mails and got no response. The phones dont work. I will dispute the charge, but I used my debit card which doesn't have the same protection as a CC. I am doing my home work next time I order something from an unfamiliar company and using my credit card. I am filing complaints everywhere, CC company, Attorney General, Merchant Advantage.

  • Ok, I have to revert what I said on 1/13/2009. The package was at UPS and could not be delivered. I found out after contacting the manufacturer. All this could have been avoided had Kyle put a tracking number in the order history screed and/or responded to my several attempts to contact him. With no response, along with all the other complaints, people think the worst.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at January 15, 2009 11:36 AM

  • I also had problems with National Darts but it was finally resolved after 3 weeks. Kyle Hove, the owner of National Darts sent me a personal check in the amount he owed for supplies that were never deleivered. I reported him to the BBB, Oregon's Attorney General, and the DOJ. I hope in the future National Darts will communicate and be more forth coming with their customers. I would not recommend this company to anyone until their problems are sufficiently worked out and enough time has passed with him proving he can do business honestly. I can provide personal phone numbers for Kyle Hove if necessary...

By Anonymous Anonymous, at February 03, 2009 1:55 PM

  • I have Kyle Hove's personal phone number and home address if anyone is interested.

    By Blogger E, at September 24, 2009 11:05 AM

  • I really don't want this to turn in to an attack on Kyle. I just wanted to make people considering buying from him to reconsider, and let my experience be known. I am really sorry that so many people have had such a similar experience. I wish there were more we could do, but I refuse to resort to harassing him. He knows he is a crook. If he can sleep knowing that, that is on him. I would rather see energy be spent on getting his business shut down so that other people don't fall into his trap.

  • you've probably tried most of the #'s below already. your best bet is to get in contact with your credit card company & file a complaint teling them National Darts did not ship your products & will not respond to any form of contact you've tried.

i've had the same thing happen with this guy & that was the only way i could get my money back. you can also contact the BBB for LaGrande & file a complaint with them also (link is below). Ultimately if you want great service & very quick response i have had excelent luck with a-zdarts, you can call them & someone actually answers.

  • After placing an order with national darts and never receiving a tracking number for shipping I became courious and this is what I found. Kyle Hove does work for the Oregon State Police. This is his supervisors phone number. Please feel free to give him a call as I'm sure he would like to know what kind of side job one of his officers is running!
