Mustache unveiling

I have been growing out my beard for a while now, if you know me, you might have noticed. This is something I have done many times before, but this time was with the sole intention of having a mustache at some day and time. That day and time is approaching. The unveiling is scheduled for Friday morning. I will try out a series of "staches" before trying my best Borat. I know you are all excited and will want to see this, but unfortunately I will have to shave entirely that evening for a wedding. I will be wearing it out for the Borat movie, which if I had not mentioned yet comes out this Friday. I will be sure to get pictures of the mustache in each of it's stages of glory. Look for updates! On the topic of Mustaches, November has been declared "No Shave November" by my friends and I. With the exception for this Friday, we will not be shaving for the whole of November. I am not sure who all will actually do it, but the plan is to go out one night, each of us with mustaches. The wives/girlfriends are really excited about this one. For some reason I am seeing this being a "guys night."

T.O. dropped due to lousy Q.B.s

Last night as I was losing my game by two friggin points, I was wondering, if I had played a player who, lets say played for a team with a real quarterback, would I have won? I was all excited to see Bledsoe taken out, but it seems that the Cowboys must practice throwing to the other team. For this reason I have decided to drop T.O. once and for all. Unless he starts playing defense of the opposite team, he will not be getting decent passes. My brother actually thinks that T.O. is "awesome" and "the most talented M_F_er on the planet" so I gladly accepted a trade for wide receiver who might actually win me some games. Go Roy Williams! You better keep up the point scoring, or I will fire you too!

Borat Movie quickly approaching

As I wait not so patiently to see "Borat: Cultural Learnings of America For Make Benefit Glorious Nation Kazakhstan" I find myself immersed in the endless videos and promotions that Sacha Baron Cohen has "leaked." This movie has been promoted way more than I would have expected, and I find it quite amusing how they have used many free tools for promotion. Funny how several deleted scenes have been leaked on to youtube and collegehumor. I also really enjoy Borat's MySpace page Borat has been a guest on Conan, and the telethon: Night of too many stars, and is doing all interviews leading up to the movie in character. The government of Kazakhstan has been doing a great job of marketing the movie also by giving it a lot of extra press time by pointing out the obvious, and bringing Borat to the news stands and TV News. This gives Borat his chance to hold press conferences to respond and get even more publicity on sites like youtube and collegehumor. Sacha Baron Cohen is my hero, and I wish him the most success. I know I for one will be taking a vacation day so that I can literally see the movie as soon as I can. For right now, I will have to get by with the Ali-G show seasons 1 & 2 from HBO, and his British DVD's which I had imported of course.

Music Genome project

Last night while I was losing my fantasy football match up and being sure the Bears just blew their streak, one of our friends showed us pandora.com. This site is based on the music genome project which I had heard a little bit about previously, but never used. The site is awesome, you put in an artist name or song name, and it plays music you like. It adapts to your likes and dislikes, and introduces you to a lot of good music that you will probably like! Anyway, I dig it. Be sure to check it out. It is free (ad supported) or $36 a year for an ad free version.
If you have not figured it out yet I did lose in fantasy football this week, but I did have a pretty good week. Unfortunately Pete had a better week. Who would have guessed that his defense and special teams would win the game? Oh, and nice work looking like idiots for 3 quarters Bears, it made that last quarter more exciting. On the topic of crazy football, Congratulations to Larry Johnson, my MVP for tackling Troy Polamalu by the hair. I think Polamalu is awesome, but that was friggin hilarious. I am upset that he got unsportsman like conduct though, as there is a rule specifically stating that you can tackle by any part of the body, including hair. Click the image for a poor quality video.

Fantasy football update #6

I lost. There, I said it. I don't have a lot to say about this weeks game, for obvious reasons, but I must say welcome back to T.O. Sorry that you came back to a lousy QB, it would have been sweet to see you psychologically stab your former teammates. My MVP of the week was Larry Johnson with 19 points, and my MWP of the week was Bledsoe along with the entire offensive line of the Cowboys. Even though they are not on my team, they sure lost the game for me.
On another note, there is a UFC for free on Spike tonight. I think that Shamrock is too old, and I think he will get stomped. If he does win it will be by some chance shot that knocks Ortiz out. There is no way he could keep up in a ground fight. Having said that, I am sure that I will be proven wrong.

Fantasy Football Update #5

This week worked out better for me than last week. Approximately 2.65 times better actually. I actually ended up with 127 points, unless this is adjusted again. I had three players on the injured list, and actually all three played. I have 3 tight ends, and 2 of them were injured, and one had a bye. I ended up playing Kellen Winslow, who by the way is my MVP of the week, although he only got me 10 points, he did that while injured. The least valuable player of the week will go to Buffalo defense, but even they did not do bad. To the players on my team: Keep up the good work, and I won't have to fire you.
