OK, yeah, sorry, I haven't updated in forever. I am a horrible blogger.
Black Friday 2008, I get up early and head to Sears to get in on a great deal on a washer and dryer combo. We hadn't really been looking, but our washer/dryer has always sucked, and it was dieing fast. I buy the 29th set. Really? They sold 28 sets before I got there at 6:15? Unfortunately I was out of town visiting family, and they inform me that they can't just have it shipped to our local Sears. Oh well, good price and all...
Fast forward a couple months, still waiting on our appliances. A bearing is going out in the washer. With each use it is getting louder and louder. We can no longer wash laundry while the baby is sleeping. I call and they tell me that the scheduled arrival date is Feb 27. Really? 4 months? Oh well, good price and all...
Feb 26, one day until anticipated arrival date. Our washer is now making a horrible squeaking sound and smelling like oil, in addition to the grinding sound of the bearing being out. I call Sears, just want to check in and make sure I can pick up the washer and dryer on the 27'th as planned. Get transferred 3 times, finally talk to the manager who tells me that it is still showing the 27th, and they are currently unloading a truck that may contain it. Woo Hoo!
One hour later - I get an automated call from Sears. Woo hoo, it must be there! Nope, the ship date has been updated, now projected for March 9.
I am really hoping not to have to go to a laundromat before these arrive. I really hope Sears does not close this store before I get the washer and dryer I paid for in November. Oh well, good price and all...
