nationaldarts.com is awful

One of the things that drew me to having a blog is that when I was displeased with something I could make the information available for anyone interested, and a few people that might not be interested. I am currently still having such an experience with nationaldarts.com, formerly khgear.com. I ordered several items from the site a little over a month and a half ago now. After 3 weeks I did finally receive a package that contained about half of my order, along with a packing slip that had stamps next to some of the items in my order saying they would ship later, as well as check marks by things that were packed with this shipment. I noticed that an order of 100 tips was not in current shipment, and had no markings near it. I tried to contact them to make sure this was included in the next shipment. Over the next two weeks I left 2 phone messages on their machine that reported that they were having technical difficulties with the phones, at minimum 4 emails, some to each of the addresses I found as the contact, and tried to contact them with the "contact us" form on the website. I finally heard back with a "We shipped it all to you, but some of it came back, we will resend it, we are working on our customer service issues" message. A few days later I get a small package with a couple of the items missing from the original order, (still not the entire order) and a 94 cent set of shafts for my inconvenience. Now, in all of those e-mails and phone messages I specifically asked about that order of tips, I still have heard nothing about them, and still have not seen them. I have tried twice since receiving that package to get in contact with someone there to get this figured out, but they are once again ignoring my messages. I wanted to make a post, just in case anyone is thinking of ordering from them and happen to see this first, I would highly recommend going to another site for your needs.

Heinz hates adults.

I was quite excited a few weeks ago to see that Heinz was having a promotion where you could order custom bottles of ketchup. Heinz has been putting fun little quips on bottles, and now you could submit your own and get a bottle with that printed on it. I thought of something that I thought was appropriate for a Ketchup bottle, "Squirt it on your weiner." Today I received an email from Heinz saying that adult humor violates their terms and conditions. I am kind of confused, I don't see what is so adult about it. People of all ages can enjoy a little ketchup on their ball park franks. I also don't see what is so funny about it. Unfortunately I will not be receiving my custom ketchup bottle. Thanks for nothing Heinz.

Geeksquad sucks.

I have always had distrust, and hate for Best Buy's "Geeksquad." Besides being overpriced, incompetent, and pushy, they are, in my own experience, dishonest crooks. This happened about a year ago now, but at the time I did not have a blog. Now that I do have a blog that is frequented by almost 2 users I wanted to get this out there. My great uncle wanted a computer to replace his Gateway P5 120 (120 MHz I believe) so I told my parents that they should get him one of the cheap-o deals at best buy. These are the ones that are about a year out of date, so they clearance them off to make room for newer stuff. This was still a huge upgrade for him, and would meet his needs. My dad went in and told them what computer he wanted. They then told him he would need to purchase a whole stack of upgrades and software, all of which they wanted to install for their usually steep prices. My Dad declined, as I told him to. They then told him he should extend the warranty, my declined, as I told him to. They then told him that they would like to open the box, and start up the computer to make sure everything was working. My Dad, with the false idea that people are generally good allowed this. When he got it back I installed antivirus right away, before connecting to any network. Somehow it already had a worm on it... How could this get there? I would be willing to bet that Geeksquad would be willing to remove it for a $199, or $299 if you would like them to install the antivirus! I also would be willing to bet that they intentionally put it there. See the complete "rape me in the ass price list here"

Shortly after this event, my wife went to pick up one of these "bargain PCs" for her grandpa. They put her thorough the same thing, each time to the rebuttal of "my husband can do that for me" She stood there for quite a while as they tried to talk her into each thing on their list of evil. They even tried to sell her a $30 USB cable. For anyone who might fall for this in the future, here is one for less than $10 (most of that price is shipping) and even that is not a particularly good deal. F you in the A geeksquad. </rant>
